Cork School Sports

Yesterday, we had 37 pupils represent Knockskeagh NS in Cork and we are so proud of each and everyone of the team! They performed so well, huge well done to you all!
We had a very successful day. Our Atlethics Team returned with 19 trophies and 2 shields. Incredible!
Boys
The morning session started with the boys team.
Our boys sprint results were as follows;
Riley O’Leary 2nd place 
Dáithí O’Brien 2nd place
Jesse Collins 3rd place
Luke Thompson 1st place  Luke performed amazingly well in the County Final, coming in fourth overall.
Our Junior Boys Relay team of Daithí O’Brien, Riley O’Leary, Kai Keenan and Daniel Murphy won gold  and the Ballinlough Shield. 
Girls
The afternoon session saw the girls take centre stage.
Our girls sprint results were as follows;
Keelin Collins 3rd place 
Éabha O’Sullivan 3rd place 
Zara Murphy 2nd place 
Our Junior Girls relay team of Alice McCarthy, Gracie Kelleher, Bethany Walsh and Leah Deasy won gold  and the Thomas McCurtain Shield.
Our Senior Girls relay team of Gracie Ingelsten, Lucy O’Regan, Tess O’Sullivan and Éabha O’Leary took home bronze trophies 
Well done to all our coaches, they did fantastic work preparing our team over the last few weeks. Huge thanks to all parents who supported us in Cork and helped with transporting our team. Thank you to our supervising staff in MTU Cork on the day too. It was a real team effort all round.
But the real stars of the show were our Atlethics Team. All of them were simply amazing!!
We look forward to the Clonakilty Parish Schools Atlethics Day on Thursday June 12th. Knockskeagh Abú!
