Scór na bPáistí
Last Saturday in Ballinascarthy Hall, the Scór na bPáistí West Cork Semi-Final was held for primary school children. Scór is a GAA run competition that combines all the colour and competitiveness of the Gaelic Games with the entertaining element of Ireland’s traditional past-times. The competition was established by the GAA in 1969 with the aim of promoting Ireland’s traditional pastimes and culture. 🎶🎭
Knockskeagh NS was represented in two categories at this competition over the weekend. Kate Hayes (5th Class) gave a gorgeous performance of Black Velvet Band in the Amhránaíocht Aonair competition 🎤 and Ava Dullea (1st Class) danced excellently in the Rince Aonair competition.💃
Well done to both girls in these recitals. You did yourselves and Knockskeagh proud! 😀
