Inspired by the sad news of the passing of Béibhinn from Carrigaline aged 9 years old recently. #theheartangel
See the following link for more information https://www.theheartangel.com/random-act-of-kindness
As part of our Amber Flag application, all pupils are completing our annual Advent of Kindness in Béibhinns honour. They are busy completing random acts of kindness each day. Then, they are drawing or writing about these acts of kindness into a blank calendar of their own.
The calendar pictured below is a list of suggested acts of kindness that the pupils are adopting.
Well done everyone!
Please feel free to share our calendar and keep on spreading the kindness 😊

As part of our ongoing Active Flag application process, we commenced PE Homework for all pupils in the school today.
The Active homework ideas document displayed will be used by all pupils to track and monitor their exercise over the next 4 weeks.
Pupils can select one of the activities each day and once completed, they put an X through it.
Some activities may be difficult to complete at this time of year like swimming for example. So in that case, pupils can complete an activity of their choice twice as a substitute for swimming if this isn’t possible.
Keep active everybody, well done to you all for your hard work so far ![]()

Our annual “Science Showcase” involving the 6th class was a little different this year.
The 6th class working in their pods completed some video-recorded experiments in their classroom.
They explained and demonstrated each of their experiments. Then, the recording link was made available to all classes for viewing during Science Week.
Some experiments on the show included; Elephant Toothpaste, Lava lamps, a candle in a jar, mentos/coca-cola experiment, and oblex experiment. They really were fascinating and well delivered by each of the pupils of 6th class.
Please see a sample of some videos and pictures from the showcase in our gallery below.
