Discover Primary Science and Maths.

The Discover Primary Science and Maths Programme (DPSM) is part of Science Foundation Ireland’s Education and Public Engagement Programme, which aims to increase interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) among students, teachers and members of the public.

Five Steps to the Discover Primary Science and Maths Award

The Plaque of STEM Excellence is awarded to schools that involve classes in some aspects of the steps outlined below.

In Knockskeagh National School, we have been very fortunate to be awarded with numerous Plaques of STEM Excellence over the years. The Plaques of STEM Excellence are a recognition given to schools that carry out extensive work in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). This is something that is very important to us in our school.
