We were delighted to welcome Finny O’Regan back from Clonakilty Rugby Club to Knockskeagh this year.
Finny is currently coaching rugby to all children from Senior Infants to 6th class.
All classes are being coached every Thursday on our courts, as well as on our sports field.
Thank you Finny for providing a really enjoyable, safe, and fun experience for all our pupils.

Sports Day ⚽️🏀🏑
What a day!!
Sports Day was jam-packed with activities including fun relays, basketball, obstacle courses, a bouncy castle run, yoga, cycling, Olympic handball and rock art.
The return to the Sports Days of old was very welcome indeed. 😊 This together with the fun activities led by teachers and the sun shining brightly made for a Sports Day that we’ll never forget.

Our school recently held internal camogie and hurling tournaments for pupils in 2nd and 3rd classes, as well as in 5th and 6th classes.
Our 5th and 6th class pupils played for the Dick Barrett Cup.
Some fantastic hurling and camogie was on display all day!

2nd and 3rd-class pupils played a camogie/hurling tournament recently in beautiful sunshine. The pupils played for the inaugural Little Flyer Nyhan Cup which is named after the famed Flyer Nyhan who is a past pupil of our school.
There was fantastic skill, endeavor and teamwork on display. In a very close final, Cork gained victory over Kilkenny.

Our school recently held internal Champions League soccer tournaments for pupils in classes 2nd to 6th class.
The junior Champions League tournament consisted of pupils in 2nd and 3rd class and the senior Champions League tournament consisted of pupils in 4th – 6th class.
There was amazing skill on display during all tournaments. Well Done to all involved.

On Monday 13th of June, the final of the Corn GAA Football Tournament was played.
The Corn tournament involved teams from 6th class playing against each other.
The top two teams after the group stage games were Sligo and Limerick and the Corn Final pitted these two teams against each other.
The final turned out to be a fantastic match with the result in the balance right up to the last few minutes. In the end, it was the Sligo team that gained a narrow victory.
After the final, the Corn Cup was presented by Mr Walsh to the talented captain of the Sligo team Ewan Knowles.
Well done to Mr. O’Meara for his organisation of the tournament.
