World Mental Health Day

Last Friday October 10th to mark World Mental Health Day we launched our wellbeing activities for the coming school year.

Our focus was “Empathy”. Each of our pupils partnered up and took turns talking and listening to each other’s life in school. Their chat focused on things that make them happy, sad and/or angry during their school day. We called it the “Walk in my Shoes” activity and we hope the activity will encourage more of an appreciation for pupils’ unique feelings and challenges during their school day.

Our pupils followed this activity with a mindful walk around our school grounds. Some of our senior classes participated in a very beneficial Online Mental Health Talk called “Mind Your Mind” on the day too.

Huge thank you to everyone for your incredible support for our school fundraiser last Friday, the total fund raised so far is 504euro.
